Almost Lover adalah single pertama dari sebuah band amerika bernama A Fine Frenzy. Band ini terdiri dari satu orang bernama Alison Sudol. Sama halnya seperti Dashboard Confessional maupun Five For Fighting, band-band yang terdiri dari seorang saja. Alison merupakan penyanyi, pianis sekaligus penulis lagu. Nama panggungnya, A Fine Frenzy, diambil dari suatu bagian kalimat yang ada dalam karya William Shakespeare yang berjudul A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Meskipun terdiri dari hanya dirinya sendiri, ia tetap menyebut A Fine Frenzy sebagai band. Album pertamanya lahir pada tahun 2007, dimana single Almost Lover menjadi hits. Karakter vokal Alison serta musiknya yang unik cukup pantas diperhitungkan sebagai musisi berbakat. Lagu-lagu yang dibawakannya simple dan tidak rumit untuk didengar.
Dalam album pertamanya yang berjudul, One Cell in The Sea, 2 lagu berjudul Almost Lover dan Electric Twist cukup menarik perhatian saya. Pada 2009 lalu, A Fine Frenzy menelurkan album barunya berjudul Bomb in a Birdcage. Dalam album barunya, 2 lagu yang saya referensikan untuk didengar adalah Happier, Swan Song dan The Beacon yang bernuansa ballad piano.
